First of all happy new year!
Well people have complained that I do not write on my blog so here’s a bit of stuff. Last year was a great year for Quenched we moved from just reporting on Unsigned music and covered anything that made a great racket.
We made a documentary which will be out this year, doing a road trip from Manchester across to Serbia passing through fourteen different countries, this still makes me feel like it did not really happen.
I ran a number of open mic nights before getting involved with Sound Engineering and still managed to do a lot of reviews; in regards to that part of Quenched we got some more writers on board who all have great futures. We are so lucky to have them getting involved with us so thank you to them.
Also massive thanks has to go to all the musicians and industry professionals who have believed in us and given me so much advice, do not think we would of come this far otherwise.
Really sad about losing our first logo, the fish, but I guess things move on such is life it just reminds you that nothing stays the same no matter how much you may want it to, personally and professionally.
I could moan about all the few things that went wrong, but we are just grateful for all that has gone right for us. This is going to be a massive year for us and I look forward to the new friends we make as well as catching up with the old ones.
I have written a short piece to highlight how these moments working in Quenched have been, alas the next post will actually have some substance.
It’s all come up from the dirty south to the Dirty North
I tell you it’s shameless, I owe a lot to the hacienda crowd I’ve
Had joy in the division, but now I’ve got new orders.
I’m constantly Naymedici so money doesn’t come easy
A bit of Latin for the Sonic Youths. Life’s a gamble here,
But I have a Loaded Dice I’ve been foiled a few times, but never Thrice.
Even a love I once had has turned to Rust, leaving us both Sober
A track to some up my present state of mind is quite simply ‘Sorry with a song’ by Josh T Pearson it all resonates with him. I understand fully how your art can slowly drive those you care about away, yet he has the courage to use this as fuel, tune in for next account to see if I have the bottle to do the same.
Things really are not that sombre and really hope the new year brings us all what we desire.

Love the words man. Nice idea. P
There are some musicians or bands that we hear first, they prime us, and then we are ready for another musician or band.
