Wilt EP is the three track EP from Yorkshire based four piece Black Flowers Audio, the band have been enjoying a vast amount of success with this EP and will be on the Alan Raw show discussing parts about it as well as what is next for them as a band.
They have a gruff style, which is used sparingly to avoid it becoming clichéd or expected, which means when you do hear it, it adds to the track, a very potent weapon in their music that they are exploring at the moment.
They have a somewhat bluesy element to their work too, yet it fits seamlessly within their rock filled riffs, the undertone of bass and drums really act like a guide in each of their tracks on the EP and if this is just a sample of what they are capable of, we should all look forward to their album.
Their work on the EP has similarities acoustically to Incubus, yet it is more forceful within Black Flowers Audio just like a rawer Smashing Pumpkins, all of the tracks are a great advert for the band, however ‘Sirens’ is clearly the strongest track.
‘Sirens,’ for me should be their calling card and if they make more tracks in this vein then I can see no reason for this band going all the way, they are obviously doing something right having former Columbia A and R Agent Louise Charlesworth in their corner 2011 looks good for Black Flowers Audio, lets see what their first full length album sounds like.
